Supreme leader bans Western clothings, body piercing in North Korea
News reports have revealed the ban of anything associated with Western dressings as well as body piercing in North Korea by its supreme leader,
The reports reveal that new controversial rule is reportedly focused on the North Hamgyong and Yanggang provinces of North Korea.
Both areas which share border with China, face these restrictions due to the fact that their citizens have easier access to information and cultural trends from other parts of the world.
The ban was reportedly uncovered by citizen journalists at Rimjin-gang, a North Korean news website supported by AsiaPress, adding that citizens will be monitored by a growing group of youths reported to be loyal to Kim Jong-un.
Rimjin-gang reveals that said the "inspection" units "target supposed capitalist tendencies such as length of skirts, the shape of shoes, T-shirts, hairstyles, and clothes".
This news comes barely months after it had been reported that Kim Jong-un has been ordering men to copy his 'ambitious' hair style limiting.
