I expected more from ex-internationals, Keshi says; they should know better what a game looks like

Nigerian coach Stephen Keshi has replied some of the criticisms that were thrown at him after the first game at the World Cup.

Most notably of the criticism was that from former teammate and skipper Austin Okocha who said concerning the Iran game that

The big boss is he is fondly called, has replied saying: "People have a right to their opinions, but some people enjoy being destructive.

"When people who should know better, like ex-footballers, criticise the team, I don't enjoy it at all."

Keshi squares up against Alejandro Sabella with his team of tearing attacks, and the Argentine's array of stars does not frighten Keshi or his Nigerian lads.

"The players have shown that they are good enough for the World Cup but they are yet to play to full potential.

"Argentina are worried because in football anything can happen," the big boss added.

Meanwhile, the South African Football Association has denied signing any agreement with the Nigerian coach.
