Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo has revealed that he is ready to play for Chelsea once his loan deal expires at Championship club Middlesbrough.

The 21-year-old Nigeria international, who joined the English Premier League leaders in January 2012, has been at Boro since January 2014.

He now believes that he has learnt enough during his loan season and is now ready to play for Chelsea.

"I've gained great experience and wait for the chance to be in the Premier League next season," he told in an interview.

"I'm confident I can break into Chelsea's first team at some point. Chelsea knows that too, if not I wouldn't have a long-term contract."

Kenneth Omeruo is currently on international duties with Nigeria and will be hoping to avoid consecutive defeats for the Super Eagles when they face the Bafana Bafana of South Africa later today.
