The Federal Government had planned releasing 1billion Naira for the kick off of the 20-hectare film village which some Islamic clerics led by Sheik Abdallah Usman Gadan Kanya, opposed.

According to the clerics,  the project is a plot to undermine Muslims and their religion by creating a hub for immorality.
