Singer denies involvement in the leak of song 'Kayefi'

K9 has distanced himself from the release of the leaked track ‘Kayefi’, which shares a similar beat pattern to Reminisce’s single ‘Skilashii’.

The song ‘Kayefi’ made its way online over the past weekend, and subsequently went viral, with scores of music publishing platforms releasing the songs to listeners.

A statement from the singer’s record label and signed by K9 read: “I wish to clearly state that I did not release or have anything to do with the release of the "k9 - kayefi leaked freestyle" song that is going around on the Web.The instrumental for the song, as produced by Sarz, is property of Edge Records & Reminisce.”

K9 further urged all publishers to take the song off the internet, and show respect to the intellectual property rights of all parties involved.

“I would like to implore you to kindly respect the intellectual property rights of all parties involved, and also appreciate the hardwork committed to the production of the said material by Sarz and co, and take down this "k9 - kayefi leaked freestlye" song with immediate effect. The only song I just recently put out and promoting is COUP DETAT”. K9 said.
