Juventus has reportedly inquired with Tottenham regarding the potential terms for acquiring goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario. The shot-stopper was seen in the stands during Spurs' friendly match against Hoffenheim over the weekend, as he finalized details for his departure from North London. The 29-year-old lost his starting position last season after a sharp decline in form led to a series of errors.
Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that the 'Bianconeri' are in direct negotiations with Spurs, aiming for a loan deal with an option to buy next summer. This development comes after the Turin club abandoned their pursuit of Emiliano Martinez. Aston Villa had firmly rejected loan proposals and a subsequent €7 million offer for Martinez. The price discrepancy between the clubs ultimately shifted Juventus's focus to Vicario. Meanwhile, Aston Villa has already found a replacement for the Argentine, reaching an agreement with Parma for the signing of Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki. Suzuki had also been linked with a move to the Allianz Stadium.
