After a thrilling quarter-final comeback against the Netherlands, our team is now just one step away from the final. Standing in their way is Latvia, a team with whom Serbia has a history of intense battles.

The Eagles will have the opportunity to avenge their losses to the Latvians in their last two encounters – in the European Championship quarter-finals and at the Olympic Games.

The Serbian national team started their quarter-final match poorly, allowing their opponents to quickly establish a three-point lead (1:4). However, our basketball players soon found their rhythm and managed to equalize (7:7).

A new run from the Netherlands followed, putting the Eagles four points behind (9:13), but they responded emphatically with a massive comeback to take a 15:13 lead. From that moment until the end, Serbia maintained their advantage, which at one point stretched to 19:15.

Despite this, the Dutch didn't give up, narrowing the gap to a single point (20:19). However, Nemanja Barać scored the decisive final basket, securing Serbia's place in the semi-finals.

Stojačić was the most effective player for our team with nine points, Barać contributed six, Nerandžić five, and Milutinović added one point.
