WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange took refuge in Ecuador's London embassy four years ago to avoid possible extradition to the US by Sweden or Britain

Julian Assange will face his charges for whistleblowing in the US if his rights can be guaranteed.

"Assange is still happy to come to the US provided all his rights are guaranteed," WikiLeaks said on Twitter after US President Barack Obama commuted a prison sentence for WikiLeaks source Chelsea Manning on Tuesday.
