Julián Álvarez Out for Atletico Madrid's Trip to Real Sociedad

Atletico Madrid forward Julián Álvarez will miss today's La Liga match against Real Sociedad, a fifth-round fixture.

The club released Diego Simeone's squad list for tonight's game in San Sebastián, explaining the Argentine international's absence as muscle fatigue sustained during yesterday's training session. This means Álvarez will miss his third Spanish top-flight match this season, having only made two substitute appearances so far. His sole start this campaign was in the 2-1 Champions League loss to Liverpool, where he registered an assist.
