This coming Friday, Jorge Jesus, the new national team coach, will announce Portugal's squad for the upcoming Nations League group stage matches against Wales, Norway (in Oslo and Porto), and Denmark.
In recent weeks, the 72-year-old manager has been a regular presence at various domestic league games, and beyond. On Saturday, for instance, Jesus was in Madrid to witness Real Madrid's clash with Rayo Vallecano at the Santiago Bernabéu (4-1).
Jesus took notes on Bernardo Silva, now under José Mourinho's tutelage at the *Merengues*, who started and played a strong 69 minutes.
On social media, the national coach shared a message about his trip to the Spanish capital. "Yesterday [Saturday] was a day to watch football in Spain! A match between Real Madrid and Rayo Vallecano! I love what I do," wrote the manager of the *Seleção das Quinas*.
The squad announcement is highly anticipated, with the possibility that the new national coach will introduce several new faces compared to the players who featured in the last World Cup. Check out the gallery below for some of the names in contention:
