Jokić notches 200th career triple-double as Nuggets cruise past Pelicans /VIDEO/
Serbian superstar Nikola Jokić posted another triple-double, tallying 21 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists in 34 minutes on the floor. Although the Denver center was uncharacteristically careless with seven turnovers, it didn't end up costing the Nuggets.
It marked Jokić's milestone 200th career regular-season triple-double, moving him within just nine of all-time record holder Russell Westbrook.
Jamal Murray paced Denver with a team-high 23 points, while Christian Braun and Aaron Gordon added 15 apiece, with Gordon also pulling down 11 rebounds.
Zion Williamson led the Pelicans with 25 points but lacked sufficient support from his teammates, as Jeremiah Fears and Derik Queen were the only others in double figures with just 11 points each.
With this victory, Denver leveled their record at 2-2, while New Orleans remains winless on the season at 0-4.
The Nuggets will be back in action on Friday night when they visit the Phoenix Suns, while the Pelicans take the floor a day earlier, once again at home, against the Sacramento Kings.
