Legendary former Chelsea captain John Terry has confirmed he has not received an offer from Callum MacFarlane to join his coaching staff, who will lead the team until the end of the season. The two previously worked together with the Blues' U18 and U21 squads. MacFarlane has already taken charge of Chelsea once as interim manager during a draw against Manchester City following the club's parting ways with Enzo Maresca. He will now have the opportunity to remain in the position until the end of the season, after Liam Rossinier was dismissed yesterday.
Terry currently works as a part-time consultant at the Chelsea academy, but it appears he had hoped for a different role.
“I’m not sure what Callum’s staff will look like. I haven’t received a call or a message. I will continue in my role at the academy. We have some important matches ahead. We will all support Callum. He did a great job in the away game against Manchester City. We will also support the lads,” Terry stated.
