Partizan had an opportunity to get back into the contest at 77-73. However, poor three-point shooting proved costly for Joan Penarroya's side. Bad decision-making and questionable shot selection took their toll down the stretch. Despite Zalgiris going through an eight-minute drought without a single field goal, the Kaunas side stayed afloat by consistently knocking down their free throws.
Joan Penarroya shared his thoughts following the final buzzer.
"I'm proud of the team. It's not easy to compete for all 40 minutes and win the game. We missed a lot of three-pointers and shot a very low percentage. It's tough to keep pushing and fighting through things like that. So I am proud, and I hope our shooting percentage will improve going forward. The opening minutes of both the third and fourth quarters were poor, but I hope we'll be better," said Joan Penarroya.
