The late singer/song writer's London apartment is set to become a tourist attraction.

The upscale Mayfair property which sits adjacent to where composer George Frideric Handel lived two centuries earlier is where the late Hendrix lived and eventually died at the peak of his career aged 28.

Reports say the Handel House Trust which owns both properties has spent two years and £2.4 million (over N733 million) restoring Hendrix's apartment. With details provided by Hendrix's circle of friends and acquaintances, the apartment has been made to look like it did in 1969 when he lived there at the peak of his career.

Speaking on the project, Alistair Stranack, chairman of the Handel House Trust, said 'it is hard to think of another home in the world with such a concentration of musical genius.'
