Lecturer Shoots Student Dead For Hugging His Girlfriend

The police in Delta have arrested a senior lecturer over suspicions that he murdered a student.

The unnamed suspect was said to have shot a student of the College of Education in Agbor after the victim hugged his girlfriend.

The incident reportedly occurred during a party at a bar in the Alihami Community.

The lecturer is said to have been angered by the exchange of affection which led to him to retrieve a gun from his car and shoot the deceased at close range.

He also reportedly fired sporadically before fleeing the scene of the crime.

The shots attracted police officers assigned to the Agbor Division who then arrested the suspect and recovered the weapon.

Investigations into the incident are currently ongoing.
