Nikola Jokic recorded the fifth-fastest triple-double in NBA history, securing a 125-123 victory with his game-winning basket.

"It just happens"

After the game, reporters asked the Serbian star to comment on his 17 assists. Nikola Jokic, ever humble, attributed his success to the team's overall performance.

It was just one of those games. We took a lot of shots in the first half, the guys were in the right spots, and I just found them easily. It just happens.

Jokic finished the game with 23 points, 17 rebounds, and 17 assists in 35 and a half minutes on the court. He shot 9/16 from the field, 1/5 from three-point range, and 5/7 from the free-throw line, committing two turnovers.

The Sombor native once again demonstrated why he's considered one of the most intelligent players in basketball history, achieving another triple-double in an incredible 17 minutes and 41 seconds on the court. This also stands as the fifth-fastest triple-double ever recorded in the world's premier basketball league.

Interestingly, Jokic now holds two spots in the top five of this category. His record from 2018, when he achieved a triple-double in just 14 minutes and 33 seconds, remains an untouchable first place on the all-time list. Between his two feats, only Jalen Johnson (2025), Jim Tucker way back in 1955, and Russell Westbrook are nestled.
