"It Feels Great": Doncic Speaks Out Following LeBron's Exit, Energizing Los Angeles /VIDEO/

With LeBron no longer in the organization, Doncic has taken center stage for the Lakers.

"It feels great," the Slovenian told reporters when asked about becoming the team's new leader.

"Obviously, this is a new challenge. But I've been in this position many times throughout my career, so this is nothing new to me. I feel great, I'm excited, and I'm ready. It's been a while since I last played basketball, so I'm ready to go."

While he is sad to see LeBron leave, the Slovenian guard fully respects James' decision to start a new chapter with Philadelphia.

"Playing with LeBron was incredible. I learned so much from him, and we all know who LeBron James is. We spent great time together, and it was fantastic," Luka said.

The Los Angeles Lakers officially kick off their new NBA regular season on October 22 against the Golden State Warriors.
