The Frenchman joined Red Bull at the start of the current campaign, following an impressive debut season in 2025, highlighted by his maiden podium finish at the Dutch Grand Prix. He was called up to replace Yuki Tsunoda at a time when the sport underwent significant technical regulation changes.

Despite Red Bull's dip in the standings, Hadjar impressed with his performance, securing a series of top-six finishes throughout the season. At the Monaco Grand Prix, he clinched third place and his first podium for the Milton Keynes-based team, though the final result was confirmed months later due to an appeal process involving several teams.

However, Hadjar's Formula 1 season took an unexpected turn during the summer break when he sustained a wrist injury. The injury sidelined him for the subsequent three races, with Liam Lawson being called up from Racing Bulls to take his place.

Just days after Red Bull confirmed his return from injury, the team announced that the 21-year-old driver would remain with the squad for the following year.
