Hull City and Ipswich Town played out a dramatic 2-2 draw in a battle between two promoted sides in Premier League round nine. The visitors struck first at the MKM Stadium, but the Tigers turned the match around and held the lead until the 74th minute, ultimately missing out on securing what would have been only their second home win of the campaign.

The result means Sergej Jakirović's side remain winless for a second consecutive month, staying level on points with Ipswich.

Florentino Luís gave the Tractor Boys the lead after 12 minutes. Shortly afterwards, the Portman Road outfit had the ball in the net once again, with the goal being awarded.

The second half delivered far more excitement. Hull overturned the deficit courtesy of strikes from Tim Iroegbunam (58') and an Oliver McBurnie free-kick (68').

However, Julio Enciso restored parity in the 74th minute with a precise finish to make it 2-2.

In the upcoming round of fixtures—the final one before the international break—Hull travel to face champions Arsenal, while Ipswich welcome Bournemouth.
