Ejike Uzoenyi joins team, set to take part in training

Coach Stephen Keshi will be hoping to have his team ready for the first game in the Brazil 2014 World Cup as the Super Eagles take on Iran on Monday.

The African champions are grouped in Group F against the likes of Argentina, Bosnia and Iran and are tipped to qualify alongside the Argentines to the second round.

The injury plague in Brazil hit the team earlier in the week, defender Elderson had to be replaced with standby Enugu Rangesr defender Ejike Uzoenyi who has already joined the team and takes oart in his first training with the teamk today.

Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo is also another player who is on the list of injured players who are uncertain for the kick off game against the Iranians on Monday June 15.

Monday's game against Iran will be the second clash between the two teams. They first met in 1998 in an international friendly playe in Hong Kong.
