Oboabona Rests Bosnia Match Due To Injury
Stephen Keshi would be relying on a good and solid defence as they prepare to take on the Bosnian Dragons come Saturday June 21.
Although the Nigerian defence was not tested in the game against Iran, they nevertheless, showed some complacency that would have cost the African champions the game had the goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama not been uphill.
Nigeria lost defender Oboabona early in the game after he injured what looked like his right knee from a clumsy landing. The player tried to wave off the injury but he couldn't and he will now miss Nigeria's next game.
Media Officer of the Super Eagles Ben Alaiya confirmed after a scan test that "He (Oboabona) won't be fit to face Bosnia."
"Luckily, there's no fracture, so we expect him to be ready for the last game against Argentina."
Nigeria however have a replacement for the injured player; team captain Joseph Yobo came in for the 23 year-old Rizespor defender after his injury in the 29th minute, where he bagged his 99th national cap.
