The gravel contest will span more than 15 counties across Tennessee and Kentucky, with competitive stages stretching from the Appalachian Mountains to the Cumberland Plateau.

Crews will face fast gravel tracks, technical forest stages, and significant elevation changes as the World Rally Championship (WRC) makes its first visit to the United States since 1988.

The city of Knoxville will host the rally headquarters, with a purpose-built WRC Arena situated across World's Fair Park and the Knoxville Convention Center. The hub will combine the teams' service park with a massive fan festival, acting as the primary focal point for spectators away from the stages.

"The United States has long been a top priority for the championship. Knoxville and the roads in Tennessee and Kentucky provide us with a spectacular, challenging backdrop and a great home for our teams, manufacturers, and fans as we start this new chapter in America," said WRC Promoter CEO Eric Boullier.

The ceremonial start will take place on Nashville's iconic Lower Broadway. The launch will be accompanied by an extensive entertainment schedule featuring live music, driver appearances, fan arena activities, and regional festivities across eastern Tennessee and Kentucky.

"Tennessee is one of the world's premier destinations for hospitality and entertainment, and nobody does it better," said Rally USA President and CEO Matt Crews. "When the FIA and WRC Promoter brought America back to the calendar, our goal was to deliver far more than just a race. We are creating an experience from Broadway to the Appalachians that rivals the world's best festivals and puts our state on the global stage like never before."

FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem also underlined the importance of the championship returning to the American market.

"The USA represents one of the most significant growth opportunities for the FIA World Rally Championship," he said. "This is a country where motorsport is part of the cultural fabric, boasting world-class domestic series and an ever-growing appetite for global competition."

Rally USA is set to be one of the headline events on the 15-round 2027 WRC calendar, which was officially approved earlier this month.
