Influencer's Dilemma: Reluctant to Join Boyfriend in London, Breaks Down to Fans

FC Chelsea's new £18 million (nearly €21 million) signing, Pep Chavarría, faces an unexpected hurdle – his girlfriend is conflicted about moving to London. Influencer Pawgli, who has been dating the footballer since November last year, shed tears in a social media video.

She explained that the idea of moving to the English capital "terrifies" her. This is because she has over a million followers, predominantly Spanish-speaking. She creates content about fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. She is weighing whether to join Chavarría, who signed a five-year contract, or continue a long-distance relationship from Madrid, where she currently works.

"Moving to London means I'm somewhat giving up on my work. He has his job, I have mine. He earns his money, I earn my own. I don't live off my boyfriend. So, by not living in Madrid, I lose opportunities to continue growing, as everything is absolutely there," she stated on social media.

"I want to keep my Spanish audience. I don't speak English, at least not now, although I know I'll have to learn it. I don't want to change my audience. I want to stay with my Spanish one, which is why living in Madrid, all things considered, is so good for me," she further elaborated.

Pawgli claims to be family-oriented and quite sensitive: "Moving to a country I don't know, where I have nothing, no life, no job, and where I'll lose career opportunities... And I'm doing it for love, because I love my partner and want to build a future and a family with him."

She denied crying at the thought of losing her job and attending free events in Madrid. However, in another video, she clearly indicated her distress over this change. "When you start a relationship and your partner gets such an opportunity, you're obviously very happy for him and proud, but you also have to sit down and think about what to do now," she said.

"I swear, until recently, I was completely convinced I wouldn't move in with him. He now has his life in London, I have mine in Madrid – I respect his life, he respects mine, and we'll see each other whenever possible. A long-distance relationship is something I would never have considered in my life," she revealed, adding that perhaps fate intends for her to go to England with her boyfriend after all.

She sees opportunities in London that aren't available in Spain. The 27-year-old Pawgli has never revealed her real name, and her nickname is apparently based on Mowgli from The Jungle Book.

Chavarría said playing for FC Chelsea is like a dream, as it's one of the biggest clubs in the world. "It's a great opportunity, but I'm ready and will work hard to help the team achieve success. I must thank my family. They have always supported me, and this is only possible because of them. I am here thanks to Xabi Alonso. For me, he is currently one of the best coaches," the defender stated.

He made his La Liga debut at the age of 24 and spent the last four seasons at Madrid club Rayo Vallecano.
