The Army has imposed a 24-hour curfew in Maiduguri, Borno State following an attack by Boko Haram insurgents,

This was disclosed by Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Colonel Tukur Gusau via a statement.
The statement reads:
“In view of the recent development within Maiduguri metropolis a 24hr curfew is hereby imposed in the city.”
“This is done to protect lives and property of innocent and law abiding people of Maiduguri. The Nigerian Army wish to once again thank you for your continuous support and cooperation. The situation is firmly under control.”

The terrorists attacked the capital city on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, but were repelled by troops.
