Police Arrest ‘Female Suicide Bomber’

The police in Kano have arrested a woman who is being described as a fake suicide bomber.

A witness told Vanguard that the suspect was making her way to the police station and “refused to stop for scrutiny, when ordered by the police guard at the security post.”

Police officers reportedly surrounded the woman who then allegedly said:

“I am ready to die. But mark you, there are two others at large in the city.”

A security source also said:

“We acted fast and got her sleeping with a substance fired at her. To our surprise, the woman had covered herself with used pomade containers and sundry harmless objects.”

The source also reportedly added that “preliminary investigation revealed that the strange woman is mentally deranged, but would be confirmed by expert”

Some states in northern Nigeria, Kano included, have in recent times been rocked with a series of bomb attacks which have been carried out by women.
