"If everyone pulls in the same direction, we are a very strong national team"
João Félix, who scored the sole goal in Portugal's victory over Wales in Jorge Jesus's debut, found the net again on the second matchday of the Nations League, opening the scoring in the 2-1 win against Norway.
After the match, RTP questioned him about the foundation of their victory. "The foundation is teamwork, above all. If everyone pulls in the same direction, if everyone wants the same thing, we are undoubtedly a very strong national team. Just like in the first game, it was clear in this one too that we are a very strong team, both tactically and physically. We are organized, offensively and defensively, and when that's the case, we're always closer to winning," he stated.
The adaptation to Jorge Jesus's ideas continues: "The dynamics are there, I think we are responding well to the coach's ideas, I think he is happy. This victory is very important; it wasn't easy to come here to Norway and win, but fortunately, we managed it. It's the result of the entire team's effort; if everyone isn't performing well, we can't win, we need everyone's contribution."
Regarding the possibility of being in the best moment of his career, João Félix was cautious: "I'm doing my job, things are working out, they're going well. I hope it continues this way and that it gets even better in the future."
