If England Reaches World Cup Final, Tesco to Take Unprecedented Step

While England wasn't considered the top favorite for the World Cup title before the tournament, they are now closer than ever. They defeated Norway 2-1 in extra time in the quarter-finals and are set to face Argentina in a highly anticipated semi-final clash on Wednesday evening.

National team coach Thomas Tuchel recognizes that his squad needs to deliver a stronger performance than they did against the Scandinavians. He publicly criticized his players after the quarter-final match, understanding that a historic achievement is within reach. England's national team will play in a World Cup semi-final for the first time since 1966, the year they secured their sole World Cup title to date.

Tesco Prepares Surprise for Employees

Supermarket chain Tesco has decided to reward its employees if England advances to the final. Should the Three Lions reach the decisive World Cup final, over two thousand Tesco supermarkets across England will close at 7:30 PM local time on the day of the final, allowing employees to catch the 8:00 PM kick-off (9:00 PM CET).

"Thanks to the earlier store closures, thousands of Tesco employees will have time to get home or head to the pub before kick-off. They will receive full pay for the hours they work less," stated the official announcement from the well-known company.
