During the second panel, titled "Club Sports as a Growth Generator," Ostoja Mijailović revealed that Partizan has already reached agreements with unnamed domestic players.
"We've already signed some domestic players, but we haven't announced it yet. The pool of domestic players is scarce, that's the reality! Our domestic players aren't key contributors. There's already been discussion on this topic: 'Where are our players?' I've asked before – 'Who should we bring in?' and no one had a suggestion. Today, 100 games are played in a season; can our players endure that? These are all realistic questions. Mega exists to develop players; 14 players work so that one can go to the NBA. But with us, it's different; if you lose a derby, you can't even enjoy a coffee in peace..."
The president of the black-and-whites also spoke about player demands...
"Today, our fans buy a ticket for 200 euros and think they can dictate who coaches or presides over the club. They see other influencers on social media and then they do the same, and that's a serious problem for us. Players are demanding huge money, which isn't realistic today; there's no sustainable growth like that. The NCAA has incredibly raised the bar and salaries, something we can't offer right now."
