Šeško missed Sunday's league fixture against Fulham and opted not to join Slovenia for their opening Nations League matches against Scotland, North Macedonia, and Switzerland.
“Manchester United confirms that Benjamin Šeško has decided not to travel for international duty. He will undergo examinations this week, which will determine his individual recovery plan,” the Red Devils stated in a Monday announcement, as quoted by AFP.
Šeško has netted two goals in the current Premier League season and is now the fourth Old Trafford player to withdraw from national team duty due to injury concerns. Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo had previously pulled out of the England squad, while goalkeeper Karl Darlow was unavailable for Wales.
