After the last two Formula 1 race weekends were affected by torrential rain in Southeast Asia, drivers and teams now head to Austin, Texas, where hot and sunny conditions await them.
According to the latest weather forecasts ahead of the United States Grand Prix, rain is not expected at the Circuit of the Americas across any of the three days of track action. Clear skies and temperatures reaching 29 degrees Celsius are anticipated on Friday and Saturday. Sunday's race day is expected to bring more cloud cover, dropping the temperature to 27 degrees, though the chance of rain remains minimal at just 10% throughout the day.
Wind traditionally has a major impact on car handling in Austin, and relatively strong gusts are expected again this weekend. The one silver lining is that the wind is forecast to blow consistently from the northeast at a fairly uniform strength across all three days, making it slightly easier for teams to dial in an optimal setup. Furthermore, with Austin not hosting a Sprint event for the first time since 2022, teams will have more practice time to fine-tune their cars.
