8tch shines through as a bilingual rapper, effortlessly switching from Yoruba to English on his deeply appreciative two-pack single, 'Toranjitto,' the Japanese word for "transit.”

According to 8tch, the title is significant to his state of mind: “I’ve been shedding skin and discovering different things about myself and life itself.”

As a result of this disposition, on “Jesu l'oba," which translates to “Jesus Is King” in 8tch’s Yoruba, the rapper serves a deeply reflective and infectious trap record centred around the supreme power of God as he attempts to capture the grandeur of the Almighty with several monikers.

The song alludes to the fact that while life in itself may be subject to change, God remains the same, an undeniable, all-powerful force.

While it's looked upon as a rite of passage for every Nigerian artiste to make a song in acknowledgement of God, for 8tch, who goes beyond being a rapper but also doubles as a social commentator, evidenced in songs like '9-5 in Lagos' and 'Whatchu Saying'.

On the first track off the two-pack itself, 'An Overthinker’s Thoughts', he shows that whether in ominous or auspicious times, he’s able to remain the voice of the people, capturing the transience of human existence through Hip-hop.
