Onyekuru was in fine form for the Belgium based side before he picked up an injury which was widely reported to rule him out of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The 20-year-old was said to require surgery as he returned to his parent club Everton for rehabilitation and was optimistic of his recovery.
Onyekuru is now in training as he posted a short video on his official Twitter account where he is seen working with the ball.
A message accompanying the video said, “I am so grateful to be able to be back running and back with the ball at my feet. Its been a journey, Thank you all for your prayers and support! The Lord is truely my strength!.”
Everton are yet to release an official statement as regards the recovery of Onyekuru but with the forward already working with the ball, it is expected that his return to action is near.
Onyekuru who recently won the is not among the players invited by Gernot Rohr for the Poland and Serbia friendlies and will hope he can get back into form to be part of the final team to the World Cup.
