The case arises from comments Angulo made during a YouTube livestream following Betis' 1-0 victory over Real Madrid in matchday four of La Liga. During the stream, the blogger made derogatory remarks regarding Bellerin's appearance and lifestyle, targeting him for "painting his nails" and "reading only women's books." Betis have also reported the incident to Spain's State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sport, demanding administrative proceedings be launched. Such offenses carry potential fines of up to €650,000.

Bellerin has been with the Seville-based club since 2023. This season, the 31-year-old defender has made 10 appearances, registering one assist.
