According to "Mozzart Sport," the black-and-whites have agreed to a two-year deal with Hayes, who is expected to earn $1,500,000 per season in Belgrade.
Spanish outlet "Encestado" highlighted that Hayes was a center Joan Peñarroya coveted during his time coaching Baskonia. Partizan has now capitalized on Monaco's unstable situation to fulfill their coach's long-standing wish.
Kevarius Hayes has been playing at a EuroLeague level for the past five seasons, establishing himself as an excellent defender and a player who brings significant energy in the paint, contributing notably in rebounding. The black-and-whites were specifically looking for a center with these characteristics, making the Florida native a perfect fit.
Throughout his EuroLeague career, Hayes has also played for Asvel, Zalgiris, and Paris. This season, wearing the Monaco jersey in the elite competition, he averaged 6.3 points and 3.4 rebounds in just over 17 minutes per game.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Bruno Fernando and Tonye Jekiri at Partizan and whether at least one of them will be retained in the squad. It's worth noting that the Belgrade team has already signed Joffrey Lauvergne at the center position.
