According to the International Football Association Board (IFAB) rules, players must be given a minimum of 15 minutes for the halftime interval. The duration of this break can only be altered with the referee's permission.

Prior to the final, a closing ceremony for the tournament is scheduled, featuring performances by singers Robbie Williams, Nicole Scherzinger, and Laura Pausini, alongside YouTube star IShowSpeed. Actor Tom Cruise is also slated to play a role in the ceremony.

FIFA has announced that the show at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey will offer a retrospective look at the World Cup across the USA, Mexico, and Canada, which commenced on June 11 and concludes with the final on July 19.
