The Haas Formula 1 team has officially announced that it will part ways with Esteban Ocon at the end of the current World Championship season.

Ocon joined the American outfit at the end of 2024 after leaving Alpine. However, his tenure at Haas proved underwhelming, as he was largely overshadowed by teammate Oliver Bearman, who was contesting his first full campaign in Formula 1 in 2025.

The split comes as little surprise, with speculation mounting early in the season following public criticism from team principal Ayao Komatsu. Last week in Baku, Ocon himself told the media that he was a free agent, and his departure after a two-year stint with the team has now been formally confirmed.

It remains unclear who will replace the Frenchman, though current Formula 2 championship leader Rafael Câmara is considered the frontrunner. The Brazilian faces competition for the seat from Jack Doohan, Leonardo Fornaroli, and Ryo Hirakawa, who has the backing of Haas' title partner, Toyota.
