“Yes, it’s a special game. I think it’s really special for me because I play in England and I was born in England. Plus, I’ll be playing against teammates from Manchester City. So it’s a bit… not strange, but rather a fun match, it’s going to be great,” Haaland told reporters.

The match is scheduled for July 12th at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. According to the prolific Norwegian goalscorer, the English are among the primary contenders for the World Cup title.

When asked about Norway’s chances of winning the World Cup, Haaland responded: “They are still very low. I think there are a few clear favorites, and England is one of them. I believe all of you should put maximum pressure on the English lads.”

In the Round of 16, Norway achieved a historic success, eliminating five-time world champions Brazil with a 2-1 victory. Haaland described the win as “absolute madness.”

“Beating Brazil was crazy for us Norwegians. And then to face England in a World Cup quarter-final in the USA is quite special. If you see the joy in Norway, you’ll understand that this isn’t something common for our country, so it’s super special,” the striker added.
