Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola expressed satisfaction with his team's narrow 1-0 victory over Burnley. This was a crucial match for the "Citizens," as the win propelled them level on points with Arsenal, temporarily placing them at the top of the league table.
"We had chances. We created a lot. We gave our all after a tough match just three days ago. It was exhausting, not easy. We played a good game, we just missed a few goals. I wasn't disappointed with our second-half performance, why would I be? We secured three points, and we're at the top of the table. Of course, we can do better, but the lads gave everything," Guardiola stated.
He believes his team performed better today than in the derby against Arsenal.
"I disagree. Today, we performed better in terms of chances created than we did on Sunday. Arsenal are exceptional, but our overall performance today was truly good," the Spanish tactician added.
He then commented on the title race heading into the season's final stretch.
"There are five games left, this is the Premier League. Five games, and on Saturday we have an FA Cup semi-final. After that, we'll prepare for the upcoming fixtures. We have a great opportunity to play four consecutive finals. We might need to make some changes. We were a bit tired at the end, but we are ready," the Spaniard continued.
Finally, he addressed Rodri's injury and recovery timeline: "I still don't know. We are monitoring his condition day by day."
