Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola will only decide his future at the club after the current season concludes. According to "The Telegraph," the Catalan tactician remains undecided on whether he will stay at the helm of the Citizens for another year.

Guardiola's current contract runs until the summer of 2027. The club's management is reportedly comfortable with the coach's approach and will not pressure him, as the relationship between both parties is built on mutual trust.

Nevertheless, Manchester City has already prepared a shortlist of potential successors should Guardiola opt to depart. Among the candidates are former Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca, ex-Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso, and current Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany. The selection process is being overseen by the club's sporting director, Hugo Viana.

The publication also notes that reports suggesting the club has already inquired about Guardiola's plans for next season are inaccurate.

Pep Guardiola has been in charge of Manchester City since 2016. The team currently sits second in the Premier League standings with 61 points from 30 matches, trailing leaders Arsenal by 9 points but with a game in hand.
