Latino superstar, Shakira has officially been crowned the 'most popular person' on Facebook after the pop star hit over a hundred million 'likes' on her page. Hence, she sets the record as the first person to ever reach the milestone.The 37-year-old mother of one posted a thank-you video on her page to appreciate her fans, with the caption, "I am honored and humbled about reaching this milestone, because it’s one that’s purely about connecting with my fans from all parts of the globe."

Looks like her participation on the popular music TV show, "The Voice" and her performance at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil rose her number of 'likes' on the social network.
