President Swears In New Chief Justice Of Nigeria

President Goodluck Jonathan today, November 20, swore in a new Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).

Justice Mahmud Mohammed was sworn into office at the Presidential Villa in Abuja and will replace former CJN, Justice Aloma Muktar.

Justice Muktar resigned her position after reaching the statutory retirement age of 70.

The president also conferred on Mohammed the national honour of the Grand Commander of the Order of Niger.
