President Jonathan issued a statement yesterday condemning the attacks and promising justice to those affected but today, November 11, he is promising Nigerians a breath of fresh air if elected into office for four more years.

The sad irony of the situation was revealed on the cover pages of some of Nigeria’s daily newspapers which reported the death of the students’ and then simultaneously announced that history is about to be made as Jonathan once again declares his interest in the nation’s number one office.

Many Nigerians have spoken out via social media condemning the president’s decision and former presidential aspirant, Dele Momodu said via Twitter that a postponement would have been the proper cause of action.
