The government of Kano State has threatened to take legal action against the Presidency if the latter doesn’t apologize for claiming the achievements of Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso.
Presidential aide, Reuben Abati posted photos on Twitter of projects supposedly undertaken by President Goodluck Jonathan in the North West but included a picture of a building which was built by Kwankwaso’s administration.
In demanding an apology from Mr. Abati, the Special Assistant on Media to Governor Kwankwaso, Jaafar Jaafar told Premium Times:
“We are giving him seven days to tender a public apology or we will sue him. That is obtaining money under false pretence.”
Mr. Jaafar had earlier accused Abati of claiming the achievement as Jonathan’s in a bid to cover up for a “non-performing” president.
