South Korea is set to change the rules of drinking for good, haven invented a hang over curing ice cream.

According to Reuters, a convenience store chain, Withme FS, in South Korea, which is Asia's hardest drinking country, has invented the Gyeondyo-bar which is a grapefruit flavored ice cream bar with a small amount of oriental raisin tree fruit juice.

Before you raise your brows at its effectiveness, you should know that a 2012 study from The Journal of Neuronscience found that raisin tree extract could reduce effects of intoxication in rats.

In a statement, Withme FS explained that Gyeondyo-bar’s name translates to “hang in there,” which “expresses the hardships of employees who have to suffer a working day after heavy drinking, as well as to provide comfort to those who have to come to work early after frequent nights of drinking,”

According to Munchies, South Koreans drank 12.3 liters booze a year, leading to nearly $8 billion in lost productivity, medical costs, and early deaths in 2013.

It is envisaged that the new hangover cure will therefore help out a lot of hung over folks in South Korea.
