Airplanes could get king-size beds soon
Imagine being able to lay stretched out on a king-size bed, thousands of miles above sea level?
If London-based design and innovation firm, Seymourpowell has anything to say about it, this could soon become a reality in airplanes.
The firm has proposed plans for a lavish first class plane suite called First Space which will include lie-flat seats that transform into beds, a table, storage space, and a fancy electronic tablet to control room functions.
According to the designers, research revealed that asides comfort, privacy was also a primary reason for choosing first class with first class passengers.
Thus, in a First Spaces cabin, travelers can shut doors to their suites and order food, drinks, and anything else they need via the electronic tablet.
The company intends First Space for the enormous Airbus A380, the world's largest passenger plane and for now, it's unclear how much a room would cost.
