"It was a tough match. We started by falling behind, and it ended up being a desperate, hard-fought victory. The most important thing is that we advanced and showed the strength of our team. That's behind us now; it's time to focus on the next one. The goal? It was almost pure instinct," Ramos told Sport TV microphones after the game.

"I know I tend to show up in these moments. I usually score and decide games. Once again, I proved I'm here to help and make a difference. Some days are harder, but game days are a different beast. There are things more important than playing more or less. If I'm not bringing my energy, I can't help the team. I managed to do that today, and it paid off. Cristiano had already told me I would be important and help the team. I told my teammates in the locker room not to worry, that if I came on, I would score. I delivered on my promise," he added.
