Following the Portuguese National Team's exit from the 2026 World Cup, Gonçalo Ramos opted against an immediate return to Portugal, instead extending his stay in the United States for a family vacation in New York.
Portugal's campaign concluded on July 6th after a defeat to Spain in Dallas. The striker, who is set to move from PSG to AC Milan under Ruben Amorim, was part of the contingent that did not fly back to Lisbon.
Accompanied by his fiancée, Margarida Domingues (known as Maguigas), their son Bernardo, his parents, and younger brother Lourenço, the family explored the city, as documented by Margarida.
Their itinerary included iconic landmarks such as Times Square, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the Museum of Natural History.
This period of relaxation comes ahead of a significant event for the couple: their wedding, scheduled for July 25th. The ceremony had been postponed due to the 2026 World Cup.
Weeks prior, in an interview with Mega Hits radio, the player discussed the challenge of finding an available date. "We have another couple getting married on the same day, and we were invited to that wedding. With limited vacation time and the World Cup, other players who want to get married will do so on the same day," he stated, emphasizing that "there's only that one weekend available."
The other couple in question is his former PSG teammate, Lucas Hernández, who will also tie the knot on the same day.
