Bush has previously surprised the art community with paintings of kitties, puppies, Putin and a self portrait. His recent subjects are American veterans.

His book, '', which is due for release soon will feature portraits of 66 men and women who have served in the American military since the fateful 9/11.

Bush describes his new art project as “more than an art book,” is supposed to fill a void in understanding between civilian and military by shedding light on the issues veterans face post-service.

Each portrait is accompanied by a story that explains the experiences of the subject with war and civilian life.
