Man who does not understand French wins French Scrabble tournament

Nigel Richards, has really proven that he is the master of Scrabble.

After winning Scrabble competitions in two countries, the UK and US, he has now won in France without speaking a word of French.

Richards is said to have  a sharp memory which has allowed him to dominate scrabble competitions.

A friend of his Liz Fagerlund revealed he stared learning French eight weeks ago before he won the tournament.

“He doesn’t speak French at all, he just learnt the words. He won’t know what they mean, wouldn't be able to carry out a conversation in French I wouldn’t think” she said.

“He does have a reputation for being the best Scrabble player ever and they know about him already but they probably didn’t necessarily expect him to go in for the first time and beat them at their own game” she further said.
