Real Madrid's attacking midfielder Jude Bellingham was among the most incensed players on the team regarding the officiating during their 2-1 derby loss to Atlético Madrid.
Footage from El Desmarque after the match shows Bellingham kicking the VAR monitor as he left the field. Interestingly, it was precisely after a VAR review that a yellow card initially shown to the Englishman was rescinded, with Cristian Romero receiving it instead. However, Bellingham argued that the Argentine should have been shown a red card, as should Kang-in Lee for a harsh tackle on Federico Valverde.
In another video circulated on social media, Bellingham is seen confronting head referee Miguel Ortiz after the final whistle, reportedly telling him: "What a disgrace, my God! Two red cards, two, two, son of a b*tch!"
Meanwhile, Romero mocked Bellingham's complaints, referencing their semi-final clash at the 2026 World Cup. The Englishman also had a heated exchange with another Argentine during last night's match – Giuliano Simeone.
